Here’s a list of steps to remind me how to rebuild the site if it goes kerflooey. Contact me if you want to build your own, this pretty shorthand documentation.
Get some hardware – BirdOMatic is currently running on:
- 2024 Mac Mini – MP4 pro – 24 gig – Sequoia
- 80 Tbyte RAID disk array
Install BirdNET-Analyzer (click here for tips)
Create directories (click here for the structure)
Populate the bioacoustic data archive
Populate the BASH-Scripts and R-Scripts directories (from our GitHub site)
Configure the network (click here for tips)
Revise maintenance_archive_to_FST_update script, paying particular attention to parameters that are being passed to the scripts that it is calling. I’d debug it by running one step at a time (using the comments near the bottom of the script for run control).
Set up the file paths and parameters in the two UI scripts and the tiny_shiny script, making sure to point at the new .FST file that came out of the maintenance run.
Use the maintenance script to restart the R scripts by only running that last few steps.
